A few years ago, during one of the all-staff meetings, a simple typo error lit up my day and sent my being on a new trajectory. The slide projected on the big screen contained a chart of who is who and their roles at my workplace.
There in a box, for everyone present to see, was my name in bold and underneath it my job title: Senior Imagining Technician. Wait – what? 😊 My face widened with a broad smile.
Wow! I liked that. Imagining. What a job. Start from nothing and use my thoughts, inspiration, and creative power to come up with something – an idea, a vision, a new creation. A seed for birthing something new.
The Imagining Technician. Someone who has the skills and technical know-how to conjure up new things. And senior role, no less. A competent imagining person, the one who’s proved herself in the imagining capacity and can show and teach others the same skills. How wonderful is that?
And why not? Why not extend my capacity to explain how to create and capture beautiful images of the wonderous micro world into wider capacity to imagine beautiful, wonderful new visions worth working and living for.
I trained as a life coach. I wanted to learn how best to help myself and others see our personal worlds and realities in a new light, from a different angle, in a new perspective. With unlimited new possibilities open to you at every single moment, new ways you are capable to imagine, you will be courageous to walk the road never travelled before.
